O'Malley praises 'old friend' Biden
By Politicker Staff[img_assist|nid=3249|title=The 2008 Democratic ticket|desc=Getty Images Photo|link=none|url=undefined|align=right|width=220|height=166]Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) had praise for the selection of U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) as the 2008 Democratic vice presidential nominee.
"I'm delighted that my old friend Joe Biden will bring tremendous experience as Vice President," O'Malley said.
The governor recalled how in 2006, Biden "generously helped me get elected by anchoring a fundraiser for me."
"He brought his mom, who is a wonderful woman."
