Clinton superdelegate says ‘experience is not what it’s all about’

DENVER – Democratic National Committewoman Maria Cordone stands firmly behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama even though she endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) in February 2007.

Cardone argues that “experience is not what its all about.”

“Look what experience has gotten for us the past eight years,” she told PolitickerMD.com.

Cardone was convinced that Barack Obama “will make an excellent president.”

She didn’t think convention speakers needed to go any harder on presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain. “We need to talk about the issues,” said Cardone. “Attacking people is ridiculous -- you need to run a positive campaign.”

Cardone felt confident that Clinton supporters would unite around Obama. “We need to do exactly what she [Clinton] asked us to do,” she said.
