Cryor: ‘We are indeed a unified party’

[img_assist|nid=571|title=Michael Cryor|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=160|height=240]DENVER – Maryland Democratic Party chair Mike Cryor says the goal of this week’s Democratic National Convention was to unite the party - not to target Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

“Our business frankly was to demonstrate that we could work together. We have some healing to do,” Cryor told PolitickerMD.com at the Renaissance Denver Hotel. He says there’s still plenty of time to “go after Senator McCain in a very aggressive way.”

“We are indeed a unified party,” he added. “We’re not always going to agree on everything. We may not always agree to the point that we may want.”

Cryor says that both Bill and Hillary Clinton have fully indicated their support for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“I think in spite of what has been or perceived to be unresolved issues back to the two campaigns. I think that every indication has been made by Senator Clinton and President Clinton.”
