O'Malley to attend final 2008 presidential debate

Gov. Martin O'Malley (D-Baltimore) will be in the audience for tonight's presidential debate at Hofstra University on New York's Long Island.

The governor will watch Barack Obama and John McCain spar in their third and final debate.

O'Malley supported Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) in the Democratic primary but threw his full support behind Obama after the election, agreeing to help out the campaign in any way possible.

"Barack Obama has challenged us all," O'Malley said in a statement. "As Marylanders, and as Americans, we're all united in our belief that our tomorrows can indeed be better than our today, and we invite all Marylanders to be a part of this defining moment in our shared history."
