Millard: 'Torrential downpour' probably wouldn't impact turnout in Baltimore

Demanue Millard, Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon's (D) chief of staff, said Tuesday that turnout was extremely high in Baltimore city.

"This is truly nothing I have ever seen before," Millard wrote in an email to PolitickerMD.com.  "In Baltimore we typically pray for no rain on Election Day.  However, with today's historical significance it appears that a torrential downpour wouldn't impact the turnout from what we have seen this morning."

He continued: "The patience to in stay lines and general voter enthusiasm to cast their ballots goes totally against conventional political wisdom in the city."
