Republican Katja Bullock will be returning home from her stint in the Bush administration next month, but she still has no idea what she'll be doing for a living.

Bullock works in the administration as special assistant to the president for presidential personnel and was elected vice-chair of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee last week.

"I will certainly be very active in the party," Bullock told PolitickerMD.com, but joked she would need a week in Florida to figure out what she's going to do when she grows up. Bullock said she was "totally overwhelmed with transition," and has done little planning for her life after Jan. 20.

However, Bullock said she will certainly be involved in the party and said the central committee has "always been near and dear to my heart." Bullock seemed to be interested in working on a campaign, an activity she said she's been doing for decades. But first, she said she wanted to begin building the party again from the bottom up by going "back to grass roots" and to "the values we once had."

Although she's been overrun with transition work, Bullock noted she found it "comforting" that president-elect Barack Obama's recent department picks -- including Sen. Hillary Clinton and Gov. Bill Richardson -- meant "he's brining experience into the government."
