Gilchrest nabs Boehner endorsement

[img_assist|nid=264|title=GOP Minority Leader John Boehner|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=200|height=149]Speaking at a Republican fundraising lunch in Washington D.C. today, House Minority Leader John Boehner endorsed Rep. Wayne Gilchrest in his bid for re-election. “I strongly support Wayne and we need to do everything we can to make sure he stays in Congress,” Boehner said.

Gilchrest, 61, is serving his eighth term in Congress. He has drawn Republican challengers in State Sens. Andy Harris and E.J. Pipkin.

Gilchrest has also received the backing of National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Cole.
