After picking up the endorsement of NARAL last fall, Rep. Al Wynn is now the official choice of Planned Parenthood Action Fund in the Fourth District Democratic primary.

"Al Wynn has a long history of advocating for women's health and is a strong supporter of a woman's right to choose," said Patricia Shields of Planned Parenthood's Metropolitan Washington Action Fund. "He is a solid pro-choice vote in the US Congress and I am thrilled that the Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed him."

Wynn has a solidly pro-choice voting record. His main rival, community activist Donna Edwards, is backed by EMILY's List, which only endorses viable female candidates and has not attacked Wynn for his record on women's rights.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America's not-for-profit affiliates operate more than 850 health centers in 49 states and the District of Columbia, serving nearly five million Americans annually.
