Earlier this month PolitickerMD.com reported on Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s endorsement of First District Republican incumbent Wayne Gilchrest.

The endorsement, we wrote at the time, “comes as something of a blow to Joe Arminio, a Republican candidate who is running on what his campaign has called the "Ron Paul Ticket."’

Perhaps now all is well between Mr. Paul and Mr. Arminio.

Today, representatives to Arminio released to reporters the full text of a letter from Paul to the former District 1 candidate.

Here is the full text:

Dear Joe,

I'm sorry I didn't realize you were in the Congressional race against Wayne Gilchrest. No one called it to my attention. I want you to know how much I appreciate all the effort you put into our Presidential campaign.

Your support for our ideals and dedication to the Constitution is to be commended. Thanks for all you have
done for the cause.
