This morning, Barack Obama rolled out an endorsement from Paul Kirk, his second superdelegate who is a former Democratic National Committee chairman in as many days.

Also notable was yesterday’s announcement of John Olsen, president of the Connecticut AFL-CIO, backing Hillary Clinton. On Wednesday, she received the endorsement of Pennsylvania AFL-CIO head Bill George.

Those two have left us wondering if Clinton will up the ante today by pulling a few other labor leaders out of her hat – particularly Maryland superdelegates John Sweeney, president of the national AFL-CIO, or John Gage, president of American Federation of Government Employees.

Clinton currently leads Obama among Maryland superdelegates by a margin of 10:5, with 14 unknown – two of whom we will find out tomorrow at the state Central Committee’s biannual meeting.

As for pledged delegates, another 29 will be picked tomorrow as well.
