In case you were wondering

[img_assist|nid=2293|title=William E. Borah|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=130|height=166]The anonymous U.S. Senator that President Bush referred to in his Knesset speech today is Sen. William Edgar Borah, Republican of Idaho and the longest serving member of Congress in that state's history.

His 1939 comment, "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided," has been a favorite historical reference for conservatives in the last few years.
