Letdown

As the Senate GOP Caucus notes, we had a chance to shut down debate on the Death Penalty today:
After about an hour of tumoil on the Senate floor, Senator EJ Pipkin (R - Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's & Caroline) move to recommit the bill back to the Judicial Proceedings Committee. The motion to recommit failed on a tie vote of 23 to 23.

At least in Delaware you get a little variation between Senators Carper and Kaufman - they have voted at odds with each other 6 times in 59 votes.

To tell you what this means, let's look at what the not-so-Free State's not-so-dynamic duo has supported in just this edition of Congress.

These were the messages voters heard at Tuesday night's 1st Congressional District debate sponsored by Cecil College and the Cecil Whig.

Kratovil, the Queen Anne's County state's Attorney and Harris, a state Senator from Cockeysville, often found common ground, but rarely acknowledged it.
