How Did CP and Readers Do With Predictions? Congrats to Ted Anderson Of Ward Eight Who Won Our Contest...

Our nine readers who responded to the contest came up with these numbers after averaging them:

Cordle 42.0 (range of 29 to 60%)

But the unofficial results so far are:

Sun Shines on Cohen, But Partly Cloudy As Well

CP has always poo-poohed  endorsements, but The Baltimore Sun, which has pretty much ignored Annapolis and has not a clue about our local issues wrote its endorsements today...for what that's worth. Their editors more or less come out for Cohen, but they look at each candidate, provide pros and cons and some actual helpful advice about how to make your choice, so yes, it is worth a look.

The Latest Cohen's Campaign Postcard Mailer

I have temporarily removed this post until I can confirm the postcard was not a practical joke, but was indeed published by the Cohen campaign. I decided to take a closer look and am playing it safe pending confirmation.  Thank you.

Fox, Cordle and MostAldermanic Candidates Responded to CP's Survey On Our Beleaguered Bus System; Cohen Suddenly Gets Real Interested

Our bus system has never received the attention or support it deserves from our city's leaders and I believe it is because it is often thought of as little more than welfare on wheels. Two of these city leaders running for mayor are now taking an interest because it is an election. Of the incumbent aldermen running for re-election, only one has chosen to respond to this survey. Candidates and

Money Continues to Flow in...Mainly To Cohen

As is to be expected, Cohen is still raking in big bucks...somebody had to pay for all those mailers and more mailers AND..as to be expected, most of his money comes from deep pocket donors--those that cough up a grand or two grand or two and a half grand--most from outside of the city--AND HUGE donations from other Democrats and Democratic organizations..even someone from Alaska....they are

OhNine OnLine For October 23

Yesterday's Annapolis Rotary Club Forum with the three mayoral candidates was a great opportunity for many of the city's most dedicated community and business leaders to get up close and somewhat personal with Cohen, Cordle and Fox. Not much new to report in terms of their stump speeches or what transpired except to say that all of three of them are becoming much more polished speakers and

Cohen On Parking

I give Josh Cohen credit for announcing a number of ideas to improve the parking situation in downtown Annapolis www.cohenformayor.com/blog?key=1431. He has a laundry list of specific plans, all of them good and workable, but he misses the point. Is there a parking problem or is there a mobility challenge? He gives some attention to transportation as his fifth and final point, but Cohen seems to

If Cohen, Cordle Or Fox Were Boats....What Kind Would They Be?

My Ninth Ward column in today's The Capital takes a light-hearted look at the mayoral candidates from a nautical perspective. I invite readers to go online or pick up a news-stand copy. And thanks to all the readers who responded with their thoughts. The best submission I got was so good that I saved it for here. It came from a community activist, but as I stated, all contributions would not be
