Fox, Cordle and MostAldermanic Candidates Responded to CP's Survey On Our Beleaguered Bus System; Cohen Suddenly Gets Real Interested

Our bus system has never received the attention or support it deserves from our city's leaders and I believe it is because it is often thought of as little more than welfare on wheels. Two of these city leaders running for mayor are now taking an interest because it is an election. Of the incumbent aldermen running for re-election, only one has chosen to respond to this survey. Candidates and

OhNine OnLine For October 23

Yesterday's Annapolis Rotary Club Forum with the three mayoral candidates was a great opportunity for many of the city's most dedicated community and business leaders to get up close and somewhat personal with Cohen, Cordle and Fox. Not much new to report in terms of their stump speeches or what transpired except to say that all of three of them are becoming much more polished speakers and

A Word About Our New Banner Advertisement

In the interest of transparency and full disclosure, I wanted to let readers know about the appearance of the banner ad for Dave Cordle. Even though Cordle had expressed interest in such an ad many weeks ago, it took me a few weeks to create the banner space. However, I created it not for him but for anyone. The banner space was offered to all three candidates. Only Cordle responded, thus his ad

Cordle to Introduce Legislation Tonight; Moyer Tries To Stop It

Dave Cordle, Alderman Ward 5, and candidate for Mayor, will introduce three pieces of legislation before the City Council tonight including a charter amendment for Council-Manager form of government and measures requiring line item budgets and a hiring freeze. Earlier this week, Cordle had all three pieces of legislation placed on the agenda for the October 12th meeting. However, Mayor Moyer

If Cordle, Cohen and Fox Were Boats--What Kind Would they Be?

CP invites your comments--anonymous or identified and not for attribution. This is for a piece I am writing about the Boat Shows and the mayoral election. SO sharpen up your fingernails and type away--If Josh Cohen, Chris Fox and Dave Cordle were boats--what kind would they be?  Power? Sail? Fast? Slow? Wood? Fiberglass? Classic? Modern? Deep draft or shallow draft? Pleasure or work? Big ship or

OhNineOnLine for August 26--Signs Of The Times and Cohen's "Silly Season"

TOMORROW NIGHT....The West Annapolis Civic Association, Wardour Improvement Association, Admiral Heights Improvement Association mayoral candidates forum, 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday, August 27th, West Annapolis Elementary School gymnasium.....Wayne Taylor is on the move. Some of his signs have been showing up around town and I spied the busy candidate putting up a large banner along Hilltop Lane and at other places on Tuesday. Personally, I'd like to see the candidate write more on his web-site or on literature, buts signs are good too. None yet for Renaut, Shropshire or Sears-Deppa, who along with Taylor, are last in fund-raising, and with the exception of Shropshire, have rather slim web-sites.
