Did the Washington Post get "justdafacts" in its Steele piece

Regular readers of Red Maryland and O’Malley Watch should be familiar with one of our favorite antagonists “justdafacts”. Justdafacts is the nom de cyber of one Steve Lebowitz, who unabashedly states, “I make no bones about who I am and where I’m coming from. I support and defend Gov. O’Malley, and I’ve volunteered on every one of his campaigns since 1990."

Interestingly, jusdtafacts has been peddling much of the same Fabian accusations from the Washington Post against not only Michael Steele, but Bob Ehrlich as well since last summer.

On May 30th 2008 Justdafacts wrote, “Keep watch for reports of humongous, gargantuan, contributions from an embarrassing contributor in a newspaper near you soon.

Pagnucco's Truthiness Problem

Kenny is quite capable of fighting his own battles with Adam Pagnucco, and I don’t begrudge Adam’s success in our little nook of the blogosphere. However, Adam does have a certain truthiness problem. Perusing MPW from Kenny’s link, I found another example of that in Adam’s brown nosing encomium to our favorite bologna sandwich, David Paulson.

Pagnucco writes:

The bloggers of Red Maryland once tried to figure out if he was spying on their site. They finally banned anonymous comments for fear of being targeted by Paulson and/or his minions.

Yes we did try to find out who “A life well lived" was. However, check Pagnucco’s second link.

Battle over absentee ballots: Harris camp claims Kratovil trying to 'disenfranchise' voters

With the race in the 1st Congressional District still too close to call, Andy Harris's campaign is accusing its opponent of trying to disenfranchise voters by challenging absentee ballots in Harford County. Democrats, however, responded that those claims are untrue and that the Harris camp is overreacting to standard post-election procedures.

"The Democratic Party sent a Washington, D.C.

Paulson: Ehrlich has a bad poker face

After former Gov. Bob Ehrlich (R-Baltimore) suggested his polling showed Republican Andy Harris ahead in the 1st Congressional District race, David Paulson, the state Democratic Party's communications director, said Ehrlich is fibbing.

"I have private polling and I have Harris campaign polling ... obviously we're ahead," Ehrlich told PolitickerMD.com while campaigning with Harris on Sunday.

But Paulson challenged Ehrlich to publicize the polls.

State GOP: McCain will fight for 'Joe the Plumber'

In the eyes of the Maryland Republican Party, John McCain won Wednesday's third and final 2008 presidential debate because he vowed to fight for Joe the Plumber.

"While Barack Obama continues to measure the drapes of the White House, John McCain is fighting and will continue fighting for 'Joe the Plumber' and every American citizen, family, and small business," Jim Pelura, chair of the state GOP said in a statement.

Pelura says McCain gave "strong and clear straight talk," but said Obama's rhetoric doesn't match his record.

Dem voter registration soars over GOP in MD

The state Democratic Party says voter registration numbers are soaring in its favor because it's assembled the right team, but the state GOP argues Democrats may be playing the game with an unfair advantage.

For each presidential election since 1992, Democratic registration has remained relatively steady in the 53 percent to 57 percent range according to new figures released by the State Board of Elections.

State GOP: O'Malley's rewards for special interests caused fiscal crisis

The Maryland Republican Party says a new swath of proposed budget cuts could have been avoided if Gov. Martin O'Malley wasn't bloating the budget by rewarding special interests. The calls came just one day after O'Malley announced he would be considering steeper cuts to funding for health care and education, in addition to considering a furlough plan to combat the state's fiscal woes.

MDGOP: Obama spent whole time in office seeking presidency

The Maryland Republican Party says Gov. Sarah Palin schooled Sen. Joe Biden during Thursday's vice-presidential debate.

"Governor Palin clearly showed that she is ready to lead as vice-president of the United States," said MDGOP chair Jim Pelura in a statement.

Pelura argues Palin won the debate by "besting Joe Biden" in a handful of policy arenas.
