Maryland: Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

BALTIMORE -- Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen  says the 1st Congressional District race is going to be "neck and neck."

"It's gonna go right down to the wire," Rep. Van Hollen (D-Kensington) told PolitickerMD.com at the state Democratic Party's One Week to Victory 2008 Gala fundraiser at the Baltimore Hilton Hotel on Monday.

The addition of Democratic candidate Frank Kratovil (D-Stevensville) as part of the DCCC's third wave of Red to Blue districts.

Kratovil will face Andy Harris (R-Cockeysville) in the November election in Maryland's First Congressional District.
