Two Easton, MD Men Arrested For Burglaries


Laurel – The Delaware State Police have arrested two Maryland men for two Burglaries and related offenses after Laurel Police Officers apprehended them during a suspicious person investigation.

The investigation began yesterday at approximately 5:00 am when a concerned citizen called 911 reporting two suspicious persons wearing masks in the parking lot of the Shop and Stop in Laurel. When Laurel Officers arrived, the two persons fled on foot and were apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

Police later located a red Ford Ranger Pick-up parked on the side of the store that belonged to the pair. Located in plain view of the bed of the pick-up were several new fishing poles, tackle boxes and chicken grilling grates.

At Kratovil fundraiser, Sierra Club rep calls Harris ‘vicious'

EASTON -- The legislative chair of the Sierra Club's Maryland chapter says Republican Andy Harris "is one of the most vicious people you could possibly imagine."

Jan Graham made the comments at a fundraiser for Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil (D- Stevensville) on Friday.

"I testified before Andy Harris's committee on more than one occasion. Andy Harris is one of the most vicious people you could possibly imagine," Graham told the crowd about the state Senator from Cockeysville who is Kratovil's Republican opponent.

Polling rumors float at Kratovil fundraiser

Update 

EASTON -- Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil (D-Stevensville) says he believes his campaign is tied with Republican Andy Harris's.

"The most recent ones showed us at 36, tied at 36," said Kratovil of Harris's camp at a Friday night fundraiser.

Kratovil was referencing an internal poll released last month by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Wife of GOP rep fundraises for Kratovil

EASTON -- Republican Anne Kimberly hosted her first fundraiser for a Democrat on Friday. It was for Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil (D-Stevensville).

Kimberly's first husband was former U.S. Rep. Rogers Morton (R-Talbot County), who represented Maryland's 1st Congressional District in the 1960s and early 1970s.

She said Kratovil's stump speech "was very nice" and free of sound bites.
