In Denver, Busch pumped for Clinton and Biden

“I’m excited about being on the floor tonight,” he told PolitickerMD.com, shortly after arriving.

Though Busch has been tuned into the convention via television, and said he was impressed by U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy’s Monday address.

Politico: Mikulski would succeed Kennedy to chair powerful committee

With major business pending before it, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee that U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) chairs will need someone to take the reins during his medical absence.

But because it is customary that a senator chair no more than one committee at a time, Politico reports that the chairmanship may very well fall to fourth-in-line member, U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Baltimore).

O'Malley fights for Clinton, dedicated to being a superdelegate

Moments after urging a packed banquet hall of Democrats to vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton, Gov. Martin O'Malley reiterated his commitment to the delegate process and his standing as a superdelegate.

Cardin will open pro forma session Jan. 18
