About that Washingon Post Hit Piece on Michael Steele

If you think something smells about the Washington Post hit piece on Michael Steele—yes it is a hit piece—then you are not the only one. I too am wondering how:

“The U.S. attorney's office inadvertently sent the confidential document, a defense sentencing memorandum filed under seal, to The Washington Post after the
newspaper requested the prosecution's sentencing memorandum.”

Van Hollen raised $399K in 3Q, $2.7M cash on hand

U.S. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Kensington), who represents Maryland's 8th Congressional District, reported $398,916.18 in total contributions in the third fundraising quarter and has $2,724,622.47 cash on hand, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission.

His opponent, Republican Steve Hudson, has not filed his 3rd quarter earnings yet.

Van Hollen also chairs the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Mechanicsville), who represents Maryland's 5th Congressional District, reported $384,265 in total contributions in the third fundraising quarter and has $1,535,962.11 cash on hand, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission.

His opponent, Republican Collins Bailey, has not filed his 3rd quarter earnings yet.
