Pro-slots group: 58% of voters for slots, 38% against

Proponents of November's controversial slots referendum hold a 20 percent advantage over their opponents, according to the pro-slots organization For Maryland For Our Future.

Voters will decide in November if the state constitution should be amended to allow up to 15,000 slot machines at five different locations across the state. A poll paid for by For Maryland For Our Future, and conducted by the Garin Hart Yang Research Group, shows 58 percent of Maryland voters in favor of passing Question 2, 38 percent against it and 4 percent undecided about the ballot initiative.

State Democratic Party Poll: Dougherty behind Bartlett by 6%

Congressional candidate Jennifer Dougherty (D-Frederick) says she's only 6 points behind in the polls, but Congressman Roscoe Bartlett's (R-Frederick) campaign isn't buying it.

A poll paid for by the Maryland Democratic Party and conducted by the Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group shows incumbent Bartlett with 45 percent, Dougherty with 39 percent, and 16 percent of those surveyed undecided about the 6th Congressional District race.

Internal poll: Kratovil up by 2%

A new internal poll shows Democratic Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil leading his opponent by 2 points.

The poll, paid for by the Kratovil campaign and conducted by GarinHartYang Research Group, shows state's Attorney Kratovil (D-Stevensville) with a 43 percent to 41 percent lead over state Sen. Andy Harris (R-Cockeysville). Sixteen percent of those surveyed were undecided.
