Did the Washington Post get "justdafacts" in its Steele piece

Regular readers of Red Maryland and O’Malley Watch should be familiar with one of our favorite antagonists “justdafacts”. Justdafacts is the nom de cyber of one Steve Lebowitz, who unabashedly states, “I make no bones about who I am and where I’m coming from. I support and defend Gov. O’Malley, and I’ve volunteered on every one of his campaigns since 1990."

Interestingly, jusdtafacts has been peddling much of the same Fabian accusations from the Washington Post against not only Michael Steele, but Bob Ehrlich as well since last summer.

On May 30th 2008 Justdafacts wrote, “Keep watch for reports of humongous, gargantuan, contributions from an embarrassing contributor in a newspaper near you soon.

Coalition of the Kool Aid Drinkers

Last month I wrote about how Governor O’Malley and his green allies are working hard to raise our energy costs. Well the Green House Gas Reduction Act of 2009 has been filed SB 278/HB 315. It aims to reduce the state’s GHG emissions 25% from 2006 levels by 2020. The Department of Environment would be tasked with producing a plan cough—cap and trade—cough. The bill exempts the state’s manufacturing base. Obviously they caved and joined the greens in passing the costs on to…us.

Section 2-102 states:

“MANUFACTURING” DOES NOT INCLUDE:
(I) ACTIVITIES THAT ARE PRIMARILY A SERVICE;

(II) ACTIVITIES THAT ARE INTELLECTUAL, ARTISTIC, OR
CLERICAL IN NATURE;

(III) PUBLIC UTILITY SERVICES, INCLUDING GAS, ELECTRIC,

So energy production, in particular electricity, is not excluded.

Ransom to oversee first County Commission meeting as president

Queen Anne's County Commissioner Gene Ransom (D-Grasonville) will preside over his first county commission meeting Wednesday as its newly-elected President.

Ransom replaced Republican County Commissioner Eric Wargotz as president in late November. New presidents are traditionally elected annually and have a powerful role setting the agenda and running meetings. Queen Anne's does not have a county executive position.

O'Malley: No slots would likely mean more cuts

BALTIMORE -- If November's slots referendum doesn't pass, the remaining option is more cuts, according to Gov. Martin O'Malley (D-Baltimore).

"I don't think there is any political will for going back to revenues, because we've already looked at that," O'Malley told PolitickerMD.com at the state Democratic Party's One Week to Victory 2008 Gala on Monday.

State GOP: McCain will fight for 'Joe the Plumber'

In the eyes of the Maryland Republican Party, John McCain won Wednesday's third and final 2008 presidential debate because he vowed to fight for Joe the Plumber.

"While Barack Obama continues to measure the drapes of the White House, John McCain is fighting and will continue fighting for 'Joe the Plumber' and every American citizen, family, and small business," Jim Pelura, chair of the state GOP said in a statement.

Pelura says McCain gave "strong and clear straight talk," but said Obama's rhetoric doesn't match his record.
