Poll: Marylanders have high hopes for Obama

Marylanders have high expectations for President-elect Barack Obama, according to a new poll.
 
According to the survey, paid for and conducted by the Annapolis-based market research firm OpinionWorks, 32 percent of Marylanders think Obama will do a "great" job as president, 34 percent said "good,"  12 percent said "so-so," and 6 percent predicted a "bad job." Seventeen percent were not sure or refused to respond.

Daily Kos poll: Harris up by 4%

Republican Andy Harris leads Democrat Frank Kratovil by 4 points, but within the margin or error, according to a new poll.
  
Harris, a state Senator from Cockeysville, is currently competing against Kratovil, the Queen Anne's County state attorney, for the open 1st Congressional District seat.

Maryland Republicans and Democrats are expressing very different opinions of Gov. Martin O'Malley's (D-Baltimore) fiscal policies, after a new poll released by The Washington Post showed O'Malley with solid approval numbers despite 63 percent of respondents pointing to the economy as the biggest issue facing the state.

New poll sheds light on O'Malley's challenges

Gov. Martin O'Malley's (D-Baltimore) approval ratings during his first two years in office are slightly lower than former Gov. Bob Ehrlich's (R-Baltimore) approval ratings were during his last term in office, according to a new poll conducted by Taylor Nelson Sofres plc for The Washington Post.

Poll: Most Marylanders satisfied with O’Malley
