Ron Paul says he didn't realize Arminio was running

Earlier this month PolitickerMD.com reported on Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s endorsement of First District Republican incumbent Wayne Gilchrest.

The endorsement, we wrote at the time, “comes as something of a blow to Joe Arminio, a Republican candidate who is running on what his campaign has called the "Ron Paul Ticket."’

SurveyUSA: Huckabee gains 9% in 3 days

Mike Huckabee is up nine points in three days according to a SurveyUSA poll of 338 likely Republican voters. John McCain is down four points at 52%, but still leading Huckabee’s 26%, by a ratio of 2:1.

The poll was conducted this weekend – during which Huckabee claimed surprising victories in Kansas and Louisiana, while coming close in Washington State. The margin of error is 5.2%.

Still, McCain leads easily with every demographic except for African Americans and Hispanics, who will makeup only a small portion of the Republican electorate.
