Wilkerson harnessing the Google

[img_assist|nid=498|title=Google AdWords for Wilkerson|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=211|height=108]State. Sen. Dianne Wilkerson has really stepped up her campaign efforts this time around -- and I don't just mean that she qualified for the ballot.

Run a Google search of her name and you'll find a sponsored link, directing you to her campaign website. She's purchased AdWords -- in which you set your ad to appear when a phrase or term is seatched -- to attract some of the younger, plugged-in set.

A little custom in online politics is that if you're buying AdWords for your name, you buy it for your opponent's, too. But a search of 'Sonia Chang-Diaz' gets no sponsored links.
