Willington looking forward to Romney’s primetime speech

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Reacting to news that former Gov. Mitt Romney will speak Wednesday night at the Republican National Convention, Rob Willington, the executive director of the Massachusetts GOP, said that Romney has shown his dedication to helping the GOP ticket win in November.

"I'm very happy to see that Mitt Romney is speaking," Willington told PolitickerMA.com. "He's been a strong supporter of John McCain."

Willington said that Romney's address to the Massachusetts delegation Tuesday was just one example his work on behalf of the senator from Arizona and presumptive presidential nominee.

"It's never about the person," Willington said. "It's about the values. Even though he didn't get the nomination, he's shown he supports McCain's cause."
