Sciortino readies sticker distribution plan

State Rep. Carl Sciortino has implemented a three-[img_assist|nid=1117|title=State Rep. Carl Sciortino (D-Medford)|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=119|height=159]pronged plan to make sure his supporters are able to cast their vote for him on Tuesday.

Sciortino, of Medford, is facing a tough primary challenge from Somerville Alderman Bob Trane. Because he failed to submit the requisite number of signatures to appear on the primary ballot, Sciortino will have to defend his seat with write-in and sticker ballot votes only. Trane's name will be on the ballot.

Dorie Clark, a spokeswoman for Sciortino, told PolitickerMA.com that the campaign has mailed stickers to voters in the district over the course of the campaign. The Sciortino camp has also distributed the stickers door-to-door throughout the summer. It also plans to have volunteers at every polling station handing the stickers out.

Clark also noted that voters can write Sciortino's name on the ballot if, after all of that, they do not have a sticker.
