Lynch plans to vote against bailout

Congressman Stephen Lynch's office just confirmed that he plans to vote against the $700 billion Wall Street bailout plan Friday.

[img_assist|nid=1373|title=U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Boston)|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=134|height=125]Meaghan Maher, a spokesman for Lynch, told PolitickerMA.com that the Boston Democrat is "still a ‘no.'"

The Associated Press reported Thursday that Lynch was planning to oppose the proposal that passed in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.

"I can't abide by that deal," Lynch told the AP. "It can't be $700 billion from taxpayers and zero from Wall Street and those financial interests."

Lynch, along with Bay State Congressman John Tierney (D-Salem) and Bill Delahunt (D-Quincy), voted against the measure on Monday. Delahunt has since said that he will also vote against the measure on Friday.
