UPDATED: 7News is reporting that state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson was arrested by FBI agents at her home Tuesday morning for connections to a corruption investigation.

The U.S. Attorney's office has scheduled a news conference for later this morning to discuss the arrest.

UPDATE, 9:13 a.m.: The Boston U.S. Attorney's office has confirmed to PolitickerMA.com that Wilkerson has been arrested under public corruption allegations. She is currently in custody of U.S. Marshalls.The office is planning to have a news conference at its offices between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m.
