Question 1 opponents emphasize effect on schools in latest ad

The Coalition for our Communities, the organization opposing Question 1, is up with another TV ad that emphasizes the impact the measure would have on public schools.

The ad features a testimony from Chrissy Reeder, a teacher from Mansfield, on how the ballot question, which would abolish the state income tax, would cut school budgets.

"Nothing matters more than the education of my students," Reeder says. "But Question 1 would be a disaster for public school students. Question 1 is a truly reckless idea. It slashes the state budget by nearly 40 percent which means larger class sizes, fewer teachers and cuts in arts, music, sports and many other student programs."

The ad is the Coalition for our Communitie's fifth TV ad, by PolitickerMA.com's count.

Check out the ad below.
