Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner, who is facing charges of accepting a $1,000 bribe and then lying about it, is keeping up a multi-faceted campaign proclaiming his innocence, according to those involved.

In addition to the several events Turner, a Roxbury member of the Green-Rainbow Party, held last week, some of his supporters gathered Tuesday night to discuss the legal aspects of the case. On Saturday, those supporters are planning to gather at Turner's Roxbury office to coordinate their campaign which is likely to include phone banking and rallies.

And next Tuesday Turner will hold one such rally at Roxbury Community College. His campaign is also directing supporters to attend Turner's court appearance next Wednesday. (Check out the PDF of the flyer here.)
