Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner's wife, Terri Small-Turner, has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury, according to a release from Turner's supporters.

The release, issued Thursday, said Turner's wife was subpoenaed because of her role as Turner's campaign treasurer and called on her to produce all campaign documents concerning Turner's campaigns for the past four years.

Turner and his supporters are planning to hold a press conference on Friday at 11 a.m. at the John Joseph Moakley U.S. District Courthouse in Boston to address the subpoena.

Christina DiIorio-Sterling, a spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan, could not confirm or deny the subpoena because she cannot comment on the grand jury investigation.
