House Minority Leader Brad Jones announced Monday that his caucus will launch a blog in January that will allow House Republicans to "skip the middle man" of the media and communicate their message directly to the public.

The blog, entitled "The Capitol View" will be located at www.TheCapitolViewLive.com and will launch on Jan. 7.

"This is just another outlet that will allow us to get our message out to the people of Massachusetts in an unfiltered manner," Jones, of North Reading, said in a statement. "Our state government is broken, and that is a direct result of the one party politics that has dominated the Commonwealth for many years. We want people to know we are agents of change, the party of reform and an alternative voice on Beacon Hill."

Jones' office said the blog will be updated regularly and will include video and audio clips, commentary and press releases.

The state Senate Republican caucus launched a blog earlier this year entitled "Scaling the Hill."
