Mid-Morning Read: Former tribe leader faces charges, More toll hike protests, More local aid cuts?

Glenn Marshall, the former leader of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, admits to illegal political contributions and embezzling money, leading to several reactions from pols he funneled money to.

The plan to close state facilities that serve the mentally disabled may spark protests.

Speaking of protests, the "Stop the Pike Hike" gang is launching a "penny protest" and several showed up to voice their concerns at a lengthy transportation hearing Monday night.
