DiMasi denies involvement in Cognos deal

House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi again denied on Wednesday any involvement in the awarding of a state software contact that is now being investigated by a federal grand jury, the Boston Globe reports.

"I had absolutely nothing to do with the awarding of that contract," DiMasi, a Boston Democrat, said following a news conference, according to the Globe.

The Globe reported Wednesday that a federal grand jury has been convened and has started issuing subpoenas for documents relating to the contract.
