Saturday Reading: Aloisi, DiMasi, Turner

Everybody is talking about Gov. Deval Patrick's selection of James Aloisi to be the next transportation secretary, which occurred on a Friday, in the midst of a snow storm. Some Patrick supporters are surprised by the pick, and Aloisi already has the governor's office walking back a comment from one of his first interviews.

And the AP points out that Patrick moved into office space at Aloisi's firm, Goulston & Storrs, during his transition after being elected in 2006.

The probe of the charges against Chuck Turner could cost the Boston City Council more than $50,000.

Contrary to a report on Friday, House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi appears to be hanging on to his support in the House, even among Republicans (!).
