Willington leaving Mass. GOP, according to his Twitter feed

Robert Willington is leaving his post as executive director of the Massachusetts Republican Party, according to his Twitter page.

"Packed up my office at MassGOP, 3 quick years there," his feed says.

Neither Willington nor a spokesman for the Massachusetts Republican Party immediately returned calls seeking comment.

Willington's departure signals what will be a complete change of leadership for the state's GOP following a disappointing election in which it lost three seats in the state Legislature. Current party chairman, Peter Torkildsen, is not seeking re-election.

Jennifer Nassour, a state committeewoman, is the only candidate currently seeking the chairmanship.
