Forrester mulling run for Turner’s City Council seat

Abrigal Forrester, a Boston human services worker, said Tuesday that he is considering running for the Boston City Council's 7th District seat currently held by embattled councilor Chuck Turner.

"Yes, it is something that's been on my radar screen," Forrester told PolitickerMA.com when asked about next year's City Council elections. "Some individuals have been saying that it is something viable for me to pursue...It is a possibility that I might throw my hat in the race."

Pressley for Boston City Council?

Speculation has been swirling for the past couple of days that Ayanna Pressley, U.S. Sen. John Kerry's political director, is considering a run for an at-large seat on the Boston City Council.

But Pressley isn't committing to anything yet.

Roxbury civic activist Bob Terrell is running for an at-large seat on Boston's City Council, the Dorchester Reporter reported Thursday.

Henriquez mulls run for Turner’s seat, whether Turner is in it or not

Carlos Henriquez, who ran against and lost to embattled Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner in 2007, is mulling a run for the council's 7th District seat again in 2009.

"I have been considering since 2007 - running again in 2009," Henriquez told PolitickerMA.com. "I haven't come to a definite decision yet in light of what is going on right now. It is something that I have been considering regardless of what has happened in the neighborhood."
