Willis to run for Boston City Council at-Large

Scotland Willis, a Roxbury business consultant, announced on Monday that he is running for an at-large seat on the Boston City Council in 2009.

"My family was first, and I want you to be second to know that I have decided to run for Boston City Council at-large," Willis wrote in a letter to Boston residents.

Kenneally forms exploratory committee

Andrew Kenneally, a longtime City Hall aide, confirmed on Tuesday that he formed an exploratory committee last week to consider whether he will run for an at-large seat on the Boston City Council seat next year.

Pressley for Boston City Council?

Speculation has been swirling for the past couple of days that Ayanna Pressley, U.S. Sen. John Kerry's political director, is considering a run for an at-large seat on the Boston City Council.

But Pressley isn't committing to anything yet.

"I haven't thought about it," Pressley told PolitickerMA.com Tuesday morning. "I am really humbled and honored that my name has been mentioned in any conversation."
