Kerry skips trip for Senate votes

U.S. Sen. John Kerry has decided against leaving the country this week with a Congressional Delegation to stay in Washington, D.C., for votes this weekend, The Hill reports.

Kerry was scheduled to traveled to Southwest Asia this week with Vice President-elect Joe Biden, Sens. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

Mass. Electoral College delegation votes unanimously for Obama, Biden

BOSTON - Massachusetts' 12-member Electoral Delegation voted unanimously on Monday for Barack Obama and Joe Biden to become the next president and vice president of the United States.

At a formal gathering in the chamber of the state House of Representatives, delegation president Raymond Jordan presided over the gathering with Secretary of State William Galvin.
