Coakley rakes in $62K so far in December

Attorney General Martha Coakley, who is perennially speculated to be eyeing higher political office, has deposited more than $62,600 into her campaign account so far in December, according to her filings at the Office of Campaign and Political Finance.

Coakley, a Medford Democrat, made four deposits last Friday totaling more than $28,400. On Dec. 2 and 3, she made deposits totaling more than $34,200.

Timilty agrees to pay $8,000 for false Patrick endorsement claim

Governor's Councilor Kelly Timilty reached an agreement with Attorney General Martha Coakley Monday to pay $8,000 for distributing a mailer featuring an endorsement from Gov. Deval Patrick that she never received, according to the attorney general's office.

Timilty must also adhere to strict protocols with regards to using endorsements in her future campaigns.

First appearance in front of SCOTUS went well, Coakley says

A day after her first argument before the Supreme Court, Attorney General Martha Coakley acknowledged being somewhat nervous but said she had anticipated most of the questions the justices asked.

In a phone interview with PolitickerMA.com on Tuesday, Coakley said that she had travelled to Washington, D.C., Sunday to make sure she was ready for the arguments on Monday. "It is my first time arguing in front of the Supreme Court," she said. "As you might imagine, it's a little nerve wracking."
