Kerry responds, blasts Beatty for no-bid contract, violent video game

O'Reilly: We're meeting about debates now

UPDATED: Representatives of U.S. Sen. John Kerry and Democratic primary challenger Ed O'Reilly are meeting to discuss debates, according to the O'Reilly campaign.

In a statement, the O'Reilly (Gloucester) camp said its representative, Benjamin Richard, had begun a lunch meeting with Roger Lau, Kerry's (D-Boston) campaign manager, at 1:30 p.m.

UPDATE, 2:20 P.M.: The Kerry campaign has confirmed the meeting is taking place.

Stay tuned for results of the meeting.
