Mass. contributes more than $730K to Obama inauguration

Massachusetts residents chipped in more than $730,000 to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration fund, according to a recent disclosure by the Presidential Inauguration Committee.

70 Mass. residents contribute to Obama transition

Seventy Massachusetts residents have contributed to President-elect Barack Obama's transition organization, according to the list of donors the Obama-Biden Transition Project released on Monday.

Obama, an Illinois Democrat, has raised more than $1.17 million during his transition through Nov. 15. Nearly 1,800 individuals have contributed.
