YP - Fox commentator McGlowan commits political suicide over morning appearance on Gallo

This morning, regular FOX NEWS contributor Angela McGlowan, author of Bamboozled, made an appearance on Paul Gallo's show. As someone who serves as a voice in the wilderness for African American conservatives from Mississippi, she is a sought after speaker and pundit. In the middle of her segment this morning, the topic turned to gun control, which McGlowan basically said she was for. Specifically, she stated her support to have guns registered with the government. As someone who has been mentioned on the far periphery for a MS-01 candidacy, presumably as someone who had interest in running in a Republican primary, McGlowan certainly shot herself in the foot (pun intended).

POLITICO - Club for Growth and DNC target ads in MS-01

Recess advertising blitz This recess just keeps getting louder. The Democratic National Committee and the conservative Club for Growth both announced Tuesday that they plan to turn up the volume on health care reform over the break, largely in districts represented by vulnerable Democrats. The two groups have lined up on opposite sides of the ring – and it looks like it’ll be bruising for the members in the middle. The DNC has purchased radio advertising in 23 districts, thanking members of Congress for supporting health care reform or President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus package. The spots “will begin as early as [Wednesday] and run into next week,” according to a DNC release.

YP - I can’t stand it - a riff on ASS-CLOWN-LOCAL

I really hate when I have to do this. But when someone says "bring it" and then paints a perfect bullseye on their forehead, I cannot resist. See if you can follow this. Today, Ms. Donna Ladd, of Jackson Free Press Fame, came out with a growling retort to a Clarion Ledger blog post on her earlier feature print piece about shopping local. That seems harmless enough, huh? Truthfully, it's a bunch of nyah nyah that no one really cares a lick about. But here's the rub. In Ladd's rather snarky retort, she states, One more, this one from the caption under the cover of our local issue he has reproducted on his site: Big stores, such as Lowe's & Walgreen's are as much part of local communities than any small mom & pop type store.
