Dean to superdelegates: Do as I say, not as I do

DENVER -- Late last week Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean demanded that undecided superdelegates make up their minds soon on whether to support Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton for president.

His intended message: voters in late states should have the final say in who will become the Democratic presidential nominee and not a group of party insider.

But in truth Dean's message was "do what I say, not as I do".

Will O'Malley screw over the Clintons?

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, a Democrat, is hardly quiet about the fact that Hillary Clinton is his choice for president.

So when U.S. Rep. Albert Wynn decided a week ago he would resign from Congress in June it presented O'Malley with an interesting decision to make. Under Maryland law he, and only he, can decide whether to hold a special election to fill the seat and when to hold that election. If or when a special election occurs it will impact the Democratic presidential contest.
