LAS VEGAS-Democratic 2nd District Congressional candidate Jill Derby will release first quarter fundraising numbers tomorrow, reporting over $140,000 raised. With less than $10,000 spent, she will report over $130,000 cash-on-hand from over 450 donors.
Derby announced her second bid for the seat currently held by Republican Congressman Dean Heller Feb. 20, giving her just under six weeks to fundraise. At the close of the last quarter, Heller had over $664,000 cash-on-hand with over $380,000 of campaign debt.
As of this post, Heller's campaign could not be reached for comment.
In other fundraising news, Jon Ralston is reporting in his RalstonFlash that 3rd Congressional District incumbent Jon Porter "raised $366,000 in the first quarter of the year in his re-election bid, bringing him to $1.6 million for the cycle and just over $1 million on hand."
Ralston also reported that Robert Daskas, the Democratic establishment's chosen candidate to challenge Porter "has raised $580,000 and has $450,000 on hand," which Ralston described as "well behind Porter but hardly prohibitive."
