Although we celebrated last week that the approval ratings for Gov. Jim Gibbons (R-Sparks) came up a smidgen, we see this week that Gibbons can celebrate only when compared with himself.

UPI is reporting that Gibbons' approval ratings are 30 points lower than any of the other five Western governors who were rated in the survey.

Adding insult to injury is the fact that my family members from other states are starting to take notice. This is getting embarrassing. I was talking with my other cousin Wally in Ohio over the weekend, and he mentioned that he had fun covering how bad approval ratings are for Gibbons.

It doesn't look like you're making the winner's list this week, Gov.
