DENVER – This week, Nevada Democratic Party chair Sam Lieberman is overseeing a group of Silver State delegates whose support is split between presumptive party nominee Barack Obama and his vanquished rival, Hillary Clinton.

But Lieberman, speaking to PolitickerNV.com at the Marriot hotel this morning, said the delegation was coming together behind Obama.

“I think we’ve coming a long way,” said Lieberman. “The Obama campaign and the Clinton campaign were working together in Nevada long before they began to merge, if you will, nationally.”

Lieberman, who hails from Clark County, made a prediction: The appearances this week from Hillary and Bill Clinton would help bring Clinton supporters on board.

“I think you’ll hear from Sen. Clinton on Tuesday and you’ll hear from the president on Wednesday, and I think that when Sen. Obama does his convention speech at Invesco Field on Thursday night, we will be doing so in front of a united party,” said Lieberman.
