Gregg, Sununu PACs Report '07 Numbers

It is not the records of their campaign committees, but the political action committees through which U.S. Sens. Judd Gregg and John E. Sununu hand out money to fellow Republicans ended 2007 with tens of thousands in cash.

In fund-raising records filed with the Federal Election Commission, Gregg's White Mountain PAC ended the year with $80,363 cash-on-hand, while Sununu's Daniel Webster PAC ends with $50,088.

Every fiscal quarter, federal PACs are required to report their numbers to the Federal Election Committee. Independent groups and politicians use PACs to spend money independent from their campaign.

Since October, Sununu's PAC has received money from Home Depot, AXA Equitable Life Insurance, T-Mobile, Farmers Group and Koch Industries.

Over the same period, Gregg's PAC received donations from the American Seniors Housing Authority, AMGEN, Pfizer and the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.

Sununu, who running for re-election this year, has not yet released his campaign contributions totals yet. In September, he reported $2,728,871 cash on hand.

This week, Sununu's potential rival former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen reported that she raised $1.2 million during the fourth quarter and ended 2007 with $1.1 million in the bank.
