Goffstown State Rep To Challenge Holden

Goffstown State Representative Pam Manney will challenge Hillsborough County Commissioner Carol Holden in a Republican Primary this year.

Holden currently represents Hillsborough District 3 and has served on the board since 1997.

Manney said she will run as a candidate will be more responsive than Holden.

"As an elected official, I believe it is my responsibility to be receptive to the needs and concerns of my constituents, receptive to the needs and concerns of county employees, helpful, cooperative and forthcoming in relaying information to the public in a timely manner and a team player who takes all sides of an issue into consideration before making a decision," Manney said. "It is my opinion that the current Hillsborough County District 3 Commissioner does not exhibit any of the above qualities."

Manney admits "it's a little early to lay out my campaign strategy," but among the issues she will run on are open government, retaining county land and "being receptive to issues and concerns of county taxpayers and towns."
