Today in the U.S. Senate race

The U.S. Senate race is developing into a regular routine.

Jeanne Shaheen will host an event and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) will issue a press release or a new web video criticizing Shaheen. Today was no different.

This afternoon, in Salem, Shaheen began her three-day "Middle Class Matters" tour and the NRSC issued a new YouTube video on Shaheen.

"We need real change. Washington has betrayed middle class families. New Hampshire families need immediate action but Washington's response has been to sit and watch," Shaheen said in a statement.

During her visit, Shaheen laid out a plan that would expand middle-class tax cuts, lower energy costs and lower health care costs.

Shaheen will also visit Plaistow and Derry.

The NRSC video is titled, "Jeanne Shaheen's Cover-up."

"Don't believe Jeanne Shaheen's election-year promises...She raised your taxes. Now she's trying to cover it up," the ad states.
